Chris Matthews on Hardball makes a nuanced if iffy nexus from one matter to another.  Maybe it was from Pakistan to torture or Taliban to (~) whatchamacallit?  No, really it escapes me and was somewhat obtuse.  Somewhere mid-program he notes the polling on torture and segues to The Torture Debate.  OW [!]  Fundamental Partisan-ship?

(fp1) (b.s.) dimentions, Putin, Webb
12-17-14
Above Hardball inserts: CM Jeb Bush 2016, n. torture tactics, w. Russian tailspin, (~) pure evil.
Still rereading between the lines.  The attack on a school in Pakistan is a terrible tragedy.  It was a terrorist attack.  Americans support torture apparently. The Taliban is upset with the attack of civilians in their controlled regions.  They feel justified.  Putin feels under attack by the nuances of democracy. (sanctions)  Recalling how Bush(43) looked into Putin's eyes and saw his soul, it brings us around to the recent insurgence of support for the likes of Putin from the right.  While a third Bush(Jeb) wrangles the middle, Webb rides(or teeters) in from the left. The fulcrum of democracy and American Exceptionalism.  Obama Webb on arc of history?

It might be one thing for Empire to win, but who will be the loser, even if it could? Not China or other powers, no matter what they choose. Failure is too scary to imagine, but progress is even scarier work. And with preemption on the table?
"Help me Obi-Wan///"
There is no secret message there or suggested solution, but it may not be just about "the force", but every player has a part and countries and corporations seem to play for keeps.
"As long as" who is the dictator?

"Failure is not on option..." is the most true oxymoron *. Failure is a result we must live or die with. In the case of the NSPD51, if failure is not preempted, or caused, it is at least incentivised and to some rewarded.

[apologies for a linky piece, all of which I have not read, and for any excessively creative wording *]

[It is funny how I seem to form a rather loopy cycle myself, as I had intended to insert somewhere a Huffington Post link. Not that particular one, but just the site in general. Speaking of Generals: Wesley Clark. Speaking of failures. Putin's eyes, which Bush looked into. (see paragraph before last "other powers") Our only hope.]

THANK YOU: Progressives Everywhere, in particular Huffington Post and Common Dreams
Speaking of forutituous links. The Telegraph and mine
with a search of "telegraph" and search "blows" it. Speaking of dreams. It is about the nightmare.

Democrats are about the American dream, Republicans are about keeping it that. And even the dream is a nightmare for the world.

* there is probably a better word for it, but then look at what we are dealing with.

[11:08 AM - - As I have noted, I have not read or reread all of the above links, and there are even some that I had intended to, but I must add this one,{Illiberal Moderates: The Global Swing Vote} by Amitai Etzioni - - a piece which I did just read and suggest caution in reading and sorting it out, but I do agree with it's approach. I have been familiar with his work prior to 1995, and that may have been important in my seeing the "grand misconception" even before I knew who was promoting it. You win some, you lose some.

Six party talks have reached an agreement over North Korea's nuclear program.

While Putin's harsh talk is straight from the soul.

And China tests it's own satellite defenses.

Reagan said, "Trust but verify", Bush had only to look into a soul and test the limits of trust and verification. Meanwhile, China and Russia are making progress in areas beyond our military-industrial complex.(Definition 7 or 8?)

Irony versus Hypocrisy

Smackdown: Shuster Nails Ari Fleischer over GOP Hypocrisy
Shuster gives as good as he takes, but the irony is that Fleischer is there arguing over the childishness of Obama when Rush is not elected by the people, and neither is he. So the Catch 44 is that if Obama is wrong for painting the Republicans with a Rush Brush, then MSNBC is wrong for presenting unelected spokespeople for the Republicans, however it is the nature of the media to try to present both sides, and the nature of the Republicans to use Joe the Plumbers.
Speaking of plumbers and whose job it is...
Several links having filtered through my email box unprofessionally*
bridge the spectrum and filling the bill.

I will not unembed the threads but leap to the next field so to speak.

A more selective approach browsing the TED forum, a spin on the technology of politics and religion by Noah Feldman presents a preemptive perspective on hope. Having viewed less than two minutes, I noted before logging out, the following:(Unmodified but for one dash)
The third leg if not noted here is Economics and the Point is Justice or the fulcrum the Law. Values and their management is the key. Balancing the tetrahedron of flip-flop so to speak. The hour glass of consumption or conservation. Economics Politics Religion Law for the People - Executive, Legislative, Judiciary for the people and the point of balance.

I had my own preemptive concerns which need to be upgraded [3-6-09]and revisited, but how does this connect to the above?(a pun on hierarchy?) Facing choices and nemeses, not to mention the connection to things being in their place, whether fields or technologies and who uses what or whom and for what. Further search may dig up a reference to direct cause ofor[***] systems.

But prepost I read: Staving Off a Great Depression by Dean Baker The Guardian UK and where does this fit? In the fear or faith options; or fight or flight, excuse or blame sections. But I propose that the numbers game be given international scope[Update **].
[UPDATE 3-20-09: The following section remains in its original form but for bold. See BINGO which follows to where it relates to the nature of preemption.]
The honesty of the new budget and accounting now includes the war on terror which was not on the books. So rather than the declare a win or lose the economy bifurcation, the new accounting must include the soft power ingredients that do not come free. I have not seen where this is said, but it should and probably has been or will be.
[BINGO! or rather none other than Warren Buffet gets it.]

*i.e. by friendly nemesies however undivinely.

** Update International Scope and a new link at revisited: "Panarin insisted he didn't wish for a U.S. collapse, but he predicted Russia and China would emerge from the economic turmoil stronger and said the two nations should work together, even to create a new currency to replace the U.S. dollar." This guy may be the Rush of Russia but he could be on the same page as Putin, while I feel that economics may be the bailiwick of the Rumpole. "She who must be obeyed" and changed.

In Principle

the proposed cooperation (joint missile defense system) between Putin and Bush is interesting. The last word is from Bush who finds the offer "interesting", the first two are from Hillary Clinton who does not oppose missile defense "in principle". But that does not mean it is likely to proceed or advisable to move forward with or without cooperation, for cause. Just like non-proliferation has not proceeded very well along side advances in weapons research and production, missile defense will be seen as offensive, especially with preemption as a policy. If cooperation cannot succeed in diplomatic pressure, it is not likely to work well under escalation.

Sad State of Affairs.

Threats to Humanity.

Know, I am not Putin the NRA on the list, but there is a tangent to the "war on semantics"[!]
Akin to share 'n angle there is the tone down.  A popular network personality was criticized for going after police killings but not community killings, to put it in rather nuanced terms.  The point there is that the community hires the police, therefore have more say in the matter.  Then there is the more silly than sad point that if rifles were what the NRA were about it might be different, but it says something to the trickle down and slippery slope of fear 'n rhetoric.  So back to the idea that Russia is sad or we are Putin up with some escalation or "mental aberration".

CUT THAT

BU** SH** OUT! [see note]

Munch Munch. At the G-8 a few weeks ago, Bush had some ideas for Putin between chomps, that the U.N. should tell Syria, to tell Hezbollah to cut that S*** out. If that is the "nature" of how the world works, then please try it in his own back yard. The two above expletives represents links to the RNC.

Dems Rejoice: Ruling Weakens Terrorist Surveillance Program

Liberal Judge Backs Dem Agenda To Weaken National Security

The linkage of Democrats and liberal judges to a weakening of anything are a cut and run from their sworn duty to uphold the constitution and fight for democracy. The only enemy the Republicans can defeat are the phantom "do nothings". No body wants to stop law enforcement or the military from any efforts to protect America, they only expect that we do so under the constitution or they have literally ripped the heart out of the foundation of this nation and the hope of the world.

Picture this:
An elephant with King George the 43rd, stomping on the constitution and strangling the founding fathers in their graves.

Note: The links actually represent a lot of "hard work" meaning a filtering of opinions that may have individual merit as opinions or snippets of facts, but the image of Democrats as terrorist reflect the intention that must be shoveled back with the image above.
